Building community, friendship, and belonging through the power of cricket.
Join Our TeamSt Nics & Notts Refugees Cricket Club brings together players from diverse backgrounds and nationalities, united by a shared love of cricket. Our team is a vibrant mix of refugees, asylum seekers, and local community members who play together as one.
Based in Nottingham, we play friendly matches, giving our players the chance to develop their skills, stay active, and represent something they can be proud of.
For many of our players, cricket is a familiar connection to home — a way to maintain cultural ties while building new ones. The friendships formed on the pitch extend far beyond the boundary rope.
Players of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds are welcome to join our squad.
We train and play at local grounds across Nottinghamshire.
We play friendly matches throughout the season.
Equipment, kit, and match fees are covered — no financial barriers to joining.
Getting involved is easy. Whether you're a refugee looking to play, or a local wanting to support, there's a place for you.
Reach out via email. We speak multiple languages and can help you feel comfortable from the start.
Join us at our next match or practice session. No experience or equipment needed — just turn up and give it a try.
Become part of the team, play in matches, and enjoy being part of a supportive community that has your back.
We believe cricket should be free for refugees and asylum seekers. Cost should never be a barrier to belonging.
We cover all equipment, kit, and match fees so our players can focus on the game and the community — not finances. If you'd like to help us keep cricket free and accessible, whether through sponsorship, fundraising, or donating kit, we'd love to hear from you.
